The Problem With A Promise
Scripture: Exodus 33:12-17 (NKJV)
God is the definition of a “promise keeper” — in His holy perfection, He cannot lie or break His word. So when we hold up our end of the agreement, He ALWAYS delivers without fail. Unfortunately, we often get distracted, lose faith, and abandon the promises when they don’t align with what we see in the present. Other times, we become so focused on the promises themselves that we lose sight of the One who fulfills them! Take inspiration from Moses in Exodus 33. He valued and sought God’s presence more than His promise to deliver the Israelites. There is nothing greater. Depression, poverty, trauma, fear, and sickness are all diminished in the presence of God because it’s more powerful than ANYTHING we’re up against. And once we begin to walk in this understanding and prioritize our relationship with Him, we will experience true freedom — just like Moses.
